Many people in the property investment industry claim anyone can renovate for profit.  Some also claim that buying renovating and selling is a great way to make money.   We want to advise everyone out there to be wary of anyone who makes these claims.  I think you will find 99% of the time they are incentivised in some way, either through comissions, building works, etc.  

If you follow the markets and industry as closely as I do then you know that most are predicting modest capital growth rates over the next two to three years.  This coupled with the high cost of renovating and sunken costs associated with buying and selling a property means serious risk for those looking to buy renovate and sell and concerns for those looking to renovate for profit.  Gone are the days where you could overcapitalise in renovation costs only to have your property price grow substantially and luckily saving you from ma Now renovating for profit can be considered a little bit different.

Unless you are a professional builder/developer then the days of buying, renovating and flipping most definitely have passed....well for now anyways.
