A world first Planum Blackstone roof installed in Victoria

The world's first Planum Blackstone roof has been installed on a home in Narre Warren North, Victoria.

This project marks the first installation of the all-new Planum Blackstone terracotta roof tile from La Escandella Ceramica.

This new tile sets itself apart from the rest of the premium Planum range with the addition of a slate like pattern moulded into the finely crafted terracotta. Forged along the Spanish coastline, the new Planum Blackstone tiles are unique because they can be used to create an authentic slate-like appearance when installed on a roof.

The Planum Blackstone is produced with four different texture patterns to create unique roofing designs and uses only the finest terracotta building materials.

The new Blackstone has been updated to be flatter and lighter than ever before while still achieving strength almost equal to that of stone with a flexure rating of over 900N.

Additionally, the Blackstone has achieved the highest test results in frost resistance and impermeability due to its geometrical characteristics.

This eminently stylish roof tile can be used on traditional projects to give the appearance of a slate-style roof and on innovative new-age designs to add a textured, yet clean roofing option.

Like all La Escandella Ceramica terracotta roof tiles, the Planum Blackstone comes with Bristile Roofing’s Colour For Life Warranty, which guarantees that the colour of the tile will not alter throughout the life of the product.
