Avoid them like a virus.
Save yourself the grief and find a more reputable and professional builder.

If you've seen any of our earlier comments then you'd know we had an extremely disappointing experience with JG King.
Out of all the trades that worked on our house, I'd…

It would almost be comical... if it wasn't your money paying for their incompetence.

Check your contract, but I think the standard allowance after PCI is no greater than 21 days for handover otherwise the builder is liable for liquidated damages.

We had / are having the same debate on this issue.
Some of our doors weren't even undercoated on the top and bottom surfaces.

We also had the incorrect front entry set installed, so they had to replace the whole door.
Second lock was also incorrect.

Good luck with the build.
Unfortunately our experience with JG King was very disappointing.

I'd be requesting (requiring) a bank cheque from them for the damages, on the same day as handover.
That's how our handover was executed, but not with PD.

Seems most volume builders have no idea of construction options beyond their standard product..
Plasterboard can most definitely be fixed to a brick wall - either directly or by using battens…

We did ask, but they seemed to have no idea what was available. Gave up, and just let them install the standard batten fittings.
I've replaced them now with 1200mm LEDs,…

Is that your garage ceiling with the fluoros?
Think they would use slim LED fittings for those now - similar cost, slim fitting, lower wattage, and last for yearsss.
