A Case Study - Moving Interstate, Perth to Melbourne

A lot of people have heard of self pack moving or using a shipping container to move your household contents interstate. We often get asked how exactly the system works. If you are looking at moving from Perth to Melbourne, it's great to know that there is an alternative to pricey full service removalists and if you don't mind getting stuck in and doing some of the work yourself, then you stand to save a lot of money.

Full service removalists generally will show up at your house in a large truck and do all the packing of your household contents, move it into their truck and then arrange to relocate it to your new house where they will unload it at the other end.

Self pack removals, or DIY removals are very similar but with one vital difference - you do the packing yourself! The advantage to this is that you know exactly what you've packed, where it is and many people have more peace of mind knowing that they've safely packed precious items themselves so they don't get misplaced or broken.

As our head office is in Perth, we are very famililar with all areas of the city and beyond. We are even able to offer you a location to pack / unpack your moving container (pod) if you are unable to do it at your own address.
