Q. Are different Pavers made from different materials?
A. Yes. Pavers range in base materials including: Clay, natural stone and even concrete. Here at Littlehampton Bricks all our pavers are made from the highest quality natural clay.

Q. How many Pavers are there per square metre?
A. There are 38 pavers per square metre for standard sized pavers 230×115, 29 for Bella Pave 6”x9” (150cm by 230)

Q. What sizes are Pavers made in?

A. Our pavers vary in thicknesses from 50mm, 62mm and 70mm. Standard paver length and width size is 230×115. (With the exception of our Bella Pave style which is 6inches by 9inches.

Q. Are clay Pavers suitable for use in driveways?
A. Yes, our entire paver range (including 50mm thickness) is suitable for use on domestic driveways for cars, bikes, boats and more. For commercial heavy vehicle use we suggest going slightly thicker and using the 70mm thick pavers.

Q. What patterns can Pavers be laid in?
A. Clay pavers are very versatile and can be laid in a variety of simple and complex patterns to create great effects. Common patterns include ‘Stackbond’ for long flowing paths and ‘Herringbone’ which is commonly used for driveways as it is the strongest pattern to lay.

Q. Do pavers change colour or fade over time and use?
A. No, Natural clay pavers don’t fade or discolour over time. Because we make our bricks using clay and other natural ingredients they are guaranteed to never fade. Our pavers are the same rich vibrant colours throughout the entire brick. **Please keep in mind that this only applies to our pavers, other brands/materials of pavers may not have the same longevity (eg: concrete pavers)**

Q. Can I lay Pavers myself or should I hire a professional?
A. Many DIY enthusiasts choose to lay pavers themselves instead of getting a professional paver to do the work. The main things you need to consider are using the right materials, having the right tools and having access to plenty of information.
