Planning Your Order of Upvc Double Glazed Windows and Doors
1. Establish what you want: what is the purpose? and what are your priorities?
Regardless of whether you’re planning a complex, luxurious sunroom, or simply adding a secondary window, it is helpful to ask: What is the purpose of the windows and doors? Are noise insulation, energy efficiency, security, child-proofing important? What basic design are you considering: casement, tilt & turn, bifold, sliding or other?
2. Talk with us before your decisions are finalized
Call or visit our showroom and speak with one of our consultants or technicians, who will chat with you about the design and purpose of your project, as well as explain options for color, glass, and accessories. Bring your dreams and ideas to life! It is useful to write down a few questions that you may have about comparable performance; installation; schedule of delivery; hardware choices or recommendations.
3. Estimator's draft proposal & quote
Our sales & estimating team will work with you to turn your ideas into concept drawings. Something as simple as a French glass door comes to life the moment it’s presented as a drawing. Maybe you like the colonial bars or a woodgrain finish!
Customers may have as much or as little input into this process as they choose. We will match your desires with your desired investment to provide you with the best value for money. We will continue to refine the design concepts as necessary to ensure that they meet and exceed your expectations. We can complete several fully engineered, detailed drawings and a list of inclusions, which will be sent to you for evaluation and approval.
4. Submit your signed quote
After you submit your signed purchase agreement along with a deposit, we will make the necessary arrangements for placing the orders with our carefully selected glass, window hardware and profile suppliers or, if there is stock on hand, we will proceed to manufacture stage without delay. You may not change your order without the financial penalty beyond this point. Although possible, changing orders may also cause delays so it is recommended to stick with your final plans.
5. Manufacturing your order
After receiving final approval from you or your agent, Double Glazed Window and Door technicians will fabricate and pre-assemble your fenestration products in our facility. Adjustments can still be made on site to achieve the desired outcome if you change your mind about handles or other minor details.
6. Packing and Delivery
Our dedicated shipping staff will package the components of your order for delivery. The windows can come pre-glazed or unglazed, this depends on size and weight of glass. You can pre-arrange delivery of your order if you will be away – we work around your schedule.
7. Installing Your Structure
When it comes to the time of installing your uPVC windows and doors, there are a few options: your builder/carpenter or your own self can complete the installation (if you are a tradie yourself!), your builder/carpenter can install frames only and we can arrange for site glazing, or we can arrange for installation (this depends on workscope and location)
The result is a uPVC window or door superior in design and functionality with a written warranty, certificate of completion and compliance and our commitment to provide service and support long after the project is complete.
