Such a helpful response - thank you. I learned a lot from what you shared and saved the post for future reference.

Hi SaveH20,
I have a random question for you please...

I have another question for your please...
Instead of reducing the overflow pipe from 90mm to 50mm just below the overflow outlet, we were thinking of sticking to a 90mm overflow…

Thanks - I'll purchase several different degree bends and see what works best.

Ah yes, you’re right - makes sense (thank you). I should have figured that out myself.
Thanks, I’ll go with an 88 degree bend and a 15 degree bend. …

The timber around the tanks is H4 sleepers. I don’t believe they should rot.

I realise this is an old thread but I have a related question please.

What should land fall be for drainage?

That's very helpful, thank you. I was mostly interested in knowing if a spoon drain requires a specific slope, but I appreciate the extra information.

Do you mean land slope for open surface drainage or pipe slope for subsurface stormwater drainage?[/
I would love to know both please. Thanks

Hi,
What is the absolute minimum fall land should have for sufficient rain water drainage?
Thanks.

We would manage it if it was installed. But it never was. The land was never graded away from our property, nor were temporary downpipes used.

Yes, it looks amazing, but we won't be paying for that. Surface drainage on highly reactive soil is the responsibility of the builder.
