Hi there.
I finally replaced all the metal posts and started with the first joist. The weather didn't let me work the last two weekends so the progress is not much.

I've got the bolt-down brackets from Doyles in Mitchelton, QLD. I bought around 90 so I got a much better price.

Ok, I've got all the hardware and tomorrow I'm getting the timber delivered.
As I'm using double joists the guy at Doyles recommended to paint them to prevent water/moisture in between.

Which ones should I use? 8x100mm or 10x100mm? The bearer will be 45mm plus 15mm packers.
Should I put a screw every 500mm or more?
Cheers
