It is certainly the bank's fault. We got conditional approval in March and applied for the formal approval during the 1st week of April. It's been 8 weeks as of…

We're scheduled to settle on Monday. $1,400 in interest for late settlement. That's approx. my 10 days' salary. What a waste! I should have went directly to one of the…

Stockland should be able to provide contour maps to builders for planning purposes. I'm pretty sure they will. Check with Stockland. We bought a home & land package and the…

Have to pay separately, I'd think. It is with Heritage Bank (QLD based bank). Going through a mortgage broker (Loan Market).

Same boat. Waiting for the bank to verify the loan documents. Supposed to have settled on Tuesday but it looks like it might take a few more days. Looking at…

Sweet! I don't think I will receive a call today as I have little mobile coverage at my workplace.

Thabks Rox82. We've only got one floor. Guess sometimes it is more important to be practical than luxurious.

This is quite normal. Check your building contract to see if there is some allowance for rocks upto certain depth. Usually there is. Anything beyond that is added costs.

That is usually how it works. The valuation depends on the bank/valuer. Also, has it been more than 12 months since you signed contract? If the contract was signed less…

You will pay lesser LMI if your valuation goes up. It is because your LVR is now lower.
