Did summit install them? It generally happens if you have these not wrapped properly. I would be getting on the phone to whoever installed them.

we upgraded the aircon ducts and possibly the must-haves along with AirTouch controller.

Wherever they made openings for electrical switches they keep eroding.. we are lucky that we have corner beads or else we would have got chips or edges.
