I have a 3gig core 2 duo, with 2x 1 TB hard drives and 3 digital tuners running Mythdora (a linux distribution with Mythtv prepackaged). -

My favorite is MythTV - it is a linux based media server that enables digital tv recording, ripping DVDs…
