Wow, Ok so it's been a busy 4 weeks or so. the build is cracking along and plaster is going up next week.
Pleased to say, no major dramas to sort…

Starting to get some more done. Roof framing this week.

Only frustration we have is the ongoing weather delays.
Can't complain one bit about our builder

We are getting black butt tongue and grove flooring in our new home being built at the moment. The flooring is still a while away from being laid, probably 6…

Upstairs Deck is going up.
It's amazing how much is getting done with some sunshine.

Panel boards on the outside of the laundry and hardwood timber door frame.
FYI, if using timber for the door frames, it must be hardwood when the BAL is 12.5…

Retaining wall back fill done. (Insert a big sigh of relief here)

Upstairs Frame work starting to take shape.

Lucky for us the lot next door is still vacant. The builder got in and fixed this up with an excavator.
Now we need to wait for the wall to dry…

So with all the soaking rains we have had, our first minor issue came along. The earth bank behind the side retaining wall collapsed.

This is the view we will enjoy from the living room and the deck. This is why we fell in love with the block despite the steep slope.

Lots more rain in the wake of Cyclone Debbie. Bearers went in the day before the deluge.

Thats pretty much what we thought when the builder showed us his ideas.

Lower level frame work up. By this stage, it was the first week in March. Build had been in progress for approx 4 weeks.

Rear wall/ Retaining wall.....
