This is appalling and makes me so nervous for our build. No way would I allow it to be painted as they should've stopped tiling as soon as they noticed! I hope you get the outcome you desire. We were thinking of an American holiday during the build but I think things like this have really made me think it is not the time...! I would love to hear how they handle this.
