My partner is the electrician. We have lights ordered overseas and will take a while to arrive. So we will fit those afterwards

I think you are overthinking this. Every build is different, people change their minds all the time. Hence there are variations. You can’t have it perfect first…

Yeah the builder didn’t want to go with my design as it was conventional and he wanted to use the waffle design for economical.

Also I got a conventional slab design done from my engineered and it only had 10 piers.so I don’t know why the builders engineer required 62 piers.
