Its quickstep there is no glue and yes every now and then you get a box with chips on the end we cut them of and use them as starters…

Lex timber isnt for everyone i think you should get tiles by the time you find the installer your happy with you will be ready to move house.

Yes lay the floor up to the skirtings leaving the required expansion gaps then nail your beading to the skirtings.You should use scotia which looks better than quad.

A 25mm nail will go around 10 to 12 mm into the ply with a 14mm timber floor.

The flooring installer can undercut the kitchen panels inside dishwasher and the fridge and get the kitcen installer to put kickboards on after the floor is installed.
