Hi Sky,
I presume you are building on a small 'cottage style' block if your backyards options are 'small' or 'smaller'.
The answer will differ for everyone you ask. It'll really depend…

I should probably clarify that the front elevation takes up the full width of the block (10m) therefore the meter could not go down the side.

Thanks for the comments mb21. I'm definitely going for low maintenance. I'm leaning towards not turfing anywhere just to avoid the mowing.
